Healthy Weight Meditation Transcript
Close your eyes. Breathe in deeply. Everything we do will be easy and relaxed. Do not try. Simply be.
Now, we will breathe down to a quiet place. We will count down from ten to one, breathing deeply but comfortably. When we reach one, you will feel very, very relaxed. You will feel relaxed and be completely open about how to get your weight to a healthy place and keep it there.
Now, breathe... Breathe in, ten, ten, ten, and out ten, ten, ten. (count down to one)
Take one last deep breath and then breathe normally, now and for the rest of the meditation
And now, picture a tranquil lake. See how the sun glints off the water. See a bird gliding gently overhead. It is tranquil and calm. You are tranquil and calm, completely relaxed. Your mind is at ease. Your muscles are fully relaxed. You feel completely at peace.
There is energy gathering in the sky above you. It is gentle, loving energy. And it looks like little particles of silver and gold, little particles of light. The silver and gold specks gather above you and begin to swirl around, around and around. A gentle easy swirling. A gentle loving feel. And now, all this gentle loving energy is dipping down to you, in a cone of energy, a swirling cone of loving energy, peaceful energy, gentle energy.
The energy dips down and clears your mind of all negative thoughts. It clears your mind of any thoughts that make you feel you have a problem in reaching and maintaining a healthy weight. You do not have a problem. You are completely capable of doing what needs to be done. Let the energy, this golden cone of energy, wash away your negative thoughts about yourself, your negative thoughts about what you can and cannot do. And in its place, realize how strong and capable you are, how completely capable you are of doing what you want to do, doing what you need to do.
Let the energy wash away the past completely. And with it, wash away your anger and regret over what you did or did not do. Wash away any old failures. They no longer matter. Wash all this away. The past is gone and you begin again today.
Let the energy wash away any blame you feel toward others, the anger, frustration and hurt about what others did to you, ways in which they made it difficult for you to be the person you know you can be deep inside. You can be that person. You are that person. What they did is all in the past. Let the energy clear it all away.
And let the energy wash away your fear that you will fail, that the situations you are now in and the people who are now in your life will make it difficult for you to succeed, your fear that you will not be strong enough. Let the energy clear away that fear. You are strong enough. You are very, very strong. There is nothing to fear.
All of the negative thoughts and feelings are swept away and you are left with a clear mind, an open mind, a mind which is ready to accept life exactly as it is. You are clear of regrets, anger and frustration over the past. You are clear of worries about the future. You are clear of any doubts about what you are capable of doing. All of these negative thoughts are gone now, replaced by a clear and open mind, a positive mind, a mind which is focused in now, completely in now, right now, this moment, and this moment only.
And now, in this moment, be one with your body.
Feel it. Accept it. It is exactly as it is today, and it is good. It serves you well. It brings clear healthy air into your lungs; it lets the blood flow through your body. Your body is good. It is healthy. It is surging with energy and power.
Feel the energy surging through you. Feel how the energy, the flow of blood, carries with it the nutrients your body needs to be healthy, and it carries with it also your intention, your intention to be as healthy as you can be in all ways. It carries with it the rhythm of your intention, your strong intention to be the very best you can be, to be as healthy as you can possibly be.
Ah, this flow feels so good. Feel the blood as it flows. Feel its energy. Feel the energy surging through your entire body, washing away impurities, washing away anything unhealthy, whether it is physical or mental. Let the flow of your blood wash you clean and clear you to accept what your life is and the wonderful things which are heading your way.
Yes, breathe deeply and feel the glory of the energy, feel its power.
And now, feel the responsibility which comes with that power. Feel yourself accepting your life and your responsibility for it. Right now, things are as they are. But you are full of power. You are full of oneness and connection and being. You are full of the power it takes to transform your life into whatever you wish it to be. You have this power.
For the past is over and gone. You release all of your old burdens. You release any feeling that something was done to you that made you a victim, that made life hard for you. Even if this was so, it is no longer important. You forgive the people who made your life difficult. You forgive yourself for how you responded to them and what you may have done to your body. You forgive them and you forgive yourself. And that forgiveness is just a gentle release, an invitation to live now, to focus now, instead of living in the past. You release the past completely, and in that release comes energy, comes power. In that acceptance of how things are comes the ultimate power.
For the power to do things, to change things, exists only now. And by releasing your blame of others, by releasing your blame of yourself in the past, you now can claim the power, all the power, the complete and absolute power to control your own body, to do what you wish to do, to make your life your own.
Yes, you have that power. You have complete power over yourself. You can control your body and what you do. You can control your cravings. They do not have power over you. You have power over them. You can control everything you do, for it is yours to control. It is yours because you accept responsibly for it.
The power lies in this, in this acceptance of the responsibility, in this acceptance of what is, in this release of the past and all the blame and regret. Release that, and you are filled with power. The power of now, of this moment, right now, exactly as it is.
You own this. You own your body. You own it all. Your power is complete.
And so now, for a moment, just quiet your mind and feel the power surging through you. Feel your own power over your mind, over your body, over all that you are and do. Feel it now, surging through you. Feel the power, feel it now. It is yours.
Yes, the past is gone. You are fully in now, fully accepting now, fully within your power. Put your hand over your heart and take a deep breath. Feel the rhythm of your body. Feel the beating heart and feel the power as it surges through you. Feel your body helping you, pumping that rhythm of power into your body, now, now, now.
And today, as you go through your day, remember this power. Remember that you have complete responsibility for your actions, for all that you do. Remember that you are stronger than your cravings. Remember that you are in full control. Of your mind and body, now, now, now. And if the cravings become difficult for you, just pause a moment, put your hand over your heart, and breathe deeply. And in that breath, feel the surge of power through your body. Feel all of your control coming back. Give yourself this one breath and this one gesture to remember your own power. And in that breath, go into now, now, now, go into the moment and the rhythm of your own heart and be, be in power, be in control, be the wonderful, powerful person you are.
Your power is growing every day, every moment. You know what to do and have decided to take responsibility for doing it. The responsibility is completely yours. No one else is to blame. The past is not important. You are completely supported by your own power, by your own center, by the flow of blood and energy through your body. You have all the strength you need. You are very, very strong. You are very, very capable. You are willing to take this responsibility because you love yourself deeply and want to do what is best for you.
You respect yourself deeply and want your external self to reflect this respect; you want your physical self to portray the beauty and wonder that is you, deep inside.
Ah, how wonderful to be this adult, this strong, this capable. How wonderful to take control of your own life, to accept the responsibility for everything you do. How wonderful to glow with who you are, showing it inside and outside, glowing all over with your beauty and power. Ah, yes, this is wonderful indeed.
As you go out into the world today, as you go out into your day and all it holds, remember that you have the power. Remember that you have the responsibility. Remember that you can recall all of this feeling to you by simply putting your hand over your heart for a moment and taking a deep breath. Remember that this will release the flood of soothing energy which underlies all of the power, your own power over yourself.

And now, breathe in deeply several times. Move your toes around, then your legs. Move your hands and then your arms. Lift your arms up over your head and stretch. Roll your shoulders gently. Take a deep breath and open your eyes.
