Quado Message:
Today’s message is from the Quado Archives of January 15, 2000
Today, we will talk about grace. That moment in which it all comes
together. That brief moment in which everything is exactly the way
it should be. That brief moment when it is clear to you and your
life makes sense. The moment when love is as tangible as the chair
you sit in, as real, more real
than anything else in your life.
Ah, that these moments could stretch out for a lifetime. But no. One
reaches these moments of grace after a struggle, after the knowledge
has been hard-won, after striving to learn has been fulfilled with
knowledge, after the hunger for love has finally been filled.
Do not expect, or want, your life to be calm and placid, easy and
totally effortless. Be glad for the struggles that you have, for it
is through these struggles that you learn. And then, rather than
cowering in fear, or doubting yourself and your abilities, when you
meet with obstacles and setbacks, know that this is what life is
about, and that a temporary setback should never
deter you on your way.
Meet the fears through action, bold action. Meet the doubts with
faith. And continue, continue on your journey. And as you overcome,
and as you learn, then take this knowledge in, absorb it. Stop and
consider, often, what your life is all about. Make it
understandable.
And then, amidst all of the struggles, there will be beautiful
little moments, moments in which it is all clear and it all makes
sense, moments of grace in which the love of the universe shines
down upon you clear and unsullied. And in these moments you will
know what it is to be like some day, after you have learned more,
learned enough that your wisdom flows as one with the wisdom of the
universe. These moments are glimpses into a future you will someday
attain.
So be glad for your struggles. Be glad for the learning and growing
and each thing you overcome. Be glad even for the things you cannot
overcome, if you learn from them tolerance for yourself and for
other people, forgiveness of yourself and others.
Strive always to make your heart more full, rather than your self
more perfect in other ways. You are not here to achieve perfection
except in that: perfection of loving, if you can.
Be gentle to yourself. Love yourself, respect yourself deeply. You
are a unique treasure. There is only one person in all of the
universe exactly like you. Respect this. It is very important. And
all of the failings you believe you have, all of the faults which
you struggle so to overcome, these are part of your uniqueness, as
well as part of your journey.
So be kind to yourself. Extend to yourself all of the love that you
can. And enjoy the little moments of grace which come your way as
you journey on.
